New Sketch: 3 Girls at a Bus Stop

October 26, 2012

When you’re out looking for a job, be sure and carry along some paper to sketch on. That way if things don’t go well you can at least make it worth the trip. For example, here’s a quick sketch from yesterday of three young ladies sitting on a bench. I sat in a doorway across the street, and had to be quick since the bus was on its way, so I just concentrated on lines and shapes. Got the bench down first to help with placement. It’s drawn on cardstock paper, 8.5×11″, with a .7mm mechanical pencil.

  1. I love it! One of my favorite watercolours was done while waiting for a bus in the rain in Cortona, Italy…it always brings me back to those minutes well spent. Best of luck in your job search…

    • Thanks, Linda. Bus stops, stations, and even buses themselves always offer good drawing opportunities.
